Where were you during the Blackout of '03?

So today is the 2nd year anniversary of the North American Blackout. I actually would have forgotten if I didn't read about it somewhere. So it happened a little after 4 on a Thursday afternoon. I was working in midtown. Me and my fellow Brooklynites decided to start walking home. We've done it before, 2 years ago, but this walk was more lighter and we were even making jokes on the way. Yves was already home at that time and he picked me and a co-worker up somewhere between Atlantic and Union street. Thank goodness I was weariing comfortable sandals and it was until I stopped walking and sat down before I realized how tired my feet were. We drove my co-worker the rest of the way home and it was getting dark on the way back home so it was kinda scary. I don't remember what we did that night. Here are some pictures I took along the walk.

That's my co-worker helping an old man over the divider on the Manhattan Bridge. I didn't notice that they both had cigarettes in their mouths until later on!
