Museum Fridays-Guggenheim

Nate says with the scaffolding, the Guggenheim looks like an old wooden roller coaster

Pete has half day Fridays AND could get into some select museums at discount/free admission. So Friday we went to the Guggenheim with Nate and checked out Zaha Hadid's work. She's an architect that definitely thinks outside the box. Most of her stuff is pretty amazing. You could only take pictures on the ground floor and since I was a good girl and obeyed, I can't show what I saw. There was also some Pollocks and Kandiskys on exhibit. And this pretty amazing, huge 9 panel (I think it was 9) painting of a male nude from the 60's. I forgot the artist but he/she painted it for his boyfriend even though the model was Sal Mineo. Well, Sal Mineo was uncircumsized, in case you wanted to know.

That was much fun. I love the shots you posted here. And I can totally hear Nate's rollercoaster sound f/x in my head...

Where shall we head this Friday? ; )
