DevotchKa
Later on Saturday I met up with Tammy, Mark and Joy to check out DevotchKa at Bowery. I've read good things about their show and been wanting to see them since last summer when I went to see CYHSY at the Seaport. They were opening for Dev. but I left before they came on to go get dinner and on the way home later, ran into a random guy who was also at the show and said Dev. were really great. The show was fun, I was expecting great but that was my fault. Plus it's really annoying to have a girl behind you talking really loud to her friends during the show. What a way to ruin the mood. But other than her, the show was interesting, they have a romantic gypsy like sound. If you can imagine that. The opener, Norfolk and Western, were pretty good too.
My pictures suck but you can't win them all.

That must be the only Christmas light-decorated tuba in existance. Low rent Vegas!
