Gov'nor's Island

Last Saturday we took a trip over to Governors Island. It really didn't take that long to get there via the ferry and it was a pleasant enough ride. We weren't prepared for our trip since the only food they had was from the vending machine. A lot of people were picnicing. There was a Living History Demonstration so they had people dressed in civil war era clothing. It was pretty interesting. They still had most of the island closed off and there really wasn't all that much to see but it was a nice day.

We went to Chinatown afterwards to get soup dumplings for lunch. Later on that night we met up with Maureen and Tommy for dinner. We went to Coco Roco on Smith Street and sat in the garden. Me and Yves agreed we like the original one on 5th avenue instead.
