He's the man who loves me

Went to see Jeff Tweedy play Wednesday night as part of the Wall Street Rising Music Downtown Series. He was awesome! Nels Cline, Wilco guitarist, opened up and he did 'experimental music' and let me tell ya, it was torture. It was kinda cool for the first 5 minutes but 35 minutes of that stuff was just insane! Quite a few people walked out and hung out in the hallway. Joy left to smoke 2 cigarettes! Jeff came out about 10 after 9 and played till about 10:40 including 2 encores. He was great and had some really funny banter in between songs.
Tonight is Ryan Adams as part of the same series and I can't wait!!

I'm still on dial up and it's driving me insane! DSL is supposedly working but apparently something might be wrong with the line. They are going to come out on Monday to check the inside and outside lines. This is not a good sign.

you are lucky to see Tweedy solo pretty easily. Here in chicago he sells out in about 3 min flat. amd Wilco sells out 4 days of shows in about 8 min. I've seen him plenty of times and each time is always better and better. I love it when it's just him a guitar and his harmonica tho. he can sing so pretty sometimes.

and also i am so glad you got to see a good blues legend. That's how i felt when i saw honey boy edwards 90th birthday celebration. Pinetop perkins and company were all in their 90's and jammed until the wee hours. When you see blues legends of such good calibur it makes all other music seem less soulful. I HATE HATE HATE john Mayer tho (even tho he is sort of cute) and i HATE how he keeps appearing with buddy guy. arg.
