Piddleloop swap

closerinsideweb.jpg

Mailed all my cds yesterday for the piddleloop swap. I hope everyone likes them. I had fun painting all the covers "stained glass" like and since I only had to do 5, it wasn't so bad. I think I screwed up the mailings for the 2 international swappers I had and it was only half my fault! I used the automated machine to weigh and stamp everything since the line was way too long and I would have been late to work. I was surprised that there was an international button because I thought you had to fill out a customs form for international. Well, after I got everything stamped, I put it in the big box next to it and right after I dropped everything in, I noticed the sign that said "NO INTERNATIONAL MAIL." OOPS! I told a mail carrier what I did and she said I have a 50/50 chance of it getting to it's destination. So, it might end up back in my mailbox in a few days or actually make it to Australia and Sweden.

I work the window at a Post Office ... the smaller green customs form goes on stuff lighter than 4 lbs, bulkier (and containing something more) than a letter. The APC machine is designed to let you mail an international letter, but not a package of any kind (simply because the average person will screw up the customs-form part of it ... [no offense!])

Good luck either way.
